Types Of Hair Removal: Waxing, Brazilian, Bikini And Eyebrows

Almost everyone, both men and women, use some type of hair removal on different parts of their body to improve the appearance and feel of their skin. Getting clean, smooth skin on areas where hair wants to grow can be a challenge. Waxing is one of the most popular methods of hair removal due to the long-lasting effects and resultant soft and smooth skin.

The frequency that hair removal is required is determined by an individual's physiology, but there are products available that claim to slow down hair regrowth.

There are two types of wax used to remove unwanted hair from various parts of the body: hot and cold. Hot wax is initially the more expensive of the two types of wax because it requires a device to melt the product so it can be spread thinly over the skin. When the wax cools and hardens, it can be taken off the skin with quick movements, leaving the skin smooth and hair-free. Aestheticians usually use hot wax. Cold wax is purchased on pre-prepared flexible strips which are pressed on the skin and stick to the hairs before the strip is ripped off. Both types of wax can be purchased online or in beauty supply stores.

One of the most common areas where people remove unwanted hair is the eyebrows. Many men and women tend to have eyebrows larger and/or closer together than they would like. Waxing unwanted eyebrow hair can drastically change a person's appearance by framing the eyes dramatically and drawing attention to them. Eyebrows generally should not extend past the inner corner of the eye and should have a pleasing arched shape. This ideal look should be in mind when eyebrow waxing is being done, whether the hair removal is taking place at home or with a hair removal professional.

One popular style of wax hair removal done on the bikini line area is the Brazilian wax. This hair removal procedure leaves a very small amount or no hair at all after the procedure is completed. As can be imagined, Brazilian bikini waxing is painful and time consuming. Anyone interested in a Brazilian bikini wax should be sure to go to a licensed, and recommended, aesthetician with whom they feel comfortable.

Wax hair removal leaves skin soft and hair-free for weeks. Hot or cold wax can be used, and can be done at home or by a professional. Waxing leaves skin looking clean, smooth and attractive for both men and women. Whether it is overgrown eyebrows or preparing for bathing suit season, waxing is an ideal and effective hair removal option.
